Business opportunities in Asia

April 13, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. - at 3:00 p.m. Dalarna Science Park

Business Sweden is on a roadshow in Sweden with a focus on Asia. On April 13, they will visit Dalarna Science Park for a seminar on how Swedish companies can take advantage of business opportunities in the region.

Asia currently accounts for around 40 percent of the global economy and is expected to contribute nearly 60 percent of global GDP growth in 2026. The fastest growth is in India, which is expected to see GDP growth of 6.4 percent this year.

Some facts about developments in Asia:

  • 60 percent of the world's population lives in Asia, compared to 10 percent in Europe.
  • Urbanization is strong, with 550 million more people living in cities by 2035.
  • There is strong demand for Swedish products, particularly in the areas of sustainable solutions, transportation, medical technology, and environmental technology.

This is a practical and interactive lecture for those who want to understand how their company can succeed in Asia.

During the seminar, you will learn about the experiences of small and medium-sized companies that have already taken the plunge. What does it take to establish yourself? How do you deal with business culture differences that are often perceived as obstacles? You will also receive a clear overview of the export support available, such as export checks, subsidies, delegation trips, and practical support in finding the right partners.

Individual coaching is also available for those who want concrete support in their export efforts toward Asia. Take the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and see what opportunities are available for your particular company.
