A warm welcome to the Dala Lunch in Almedalen
For the fifth year in a row, Dalarna is participating in Almedalen under the theme “Dalarna – Sweden’s Next Growth Region.”
We want to highlight this by bringing together some of the people who, in various ways, contribute to Dalarna’s development: former speakers at Dalarna Talks, politicians from the Dalarna delegation, municipal representatives, members of the business support network, and other stakeholders who are present in Visby.
Dalarna is at the center of issues that are bigger than ourselves, but where our region has something concrete to contribute. During this year’s Almedalen Week, we will highlight, among other things, how Dalarna can become the place where Sweden’s AI strategy moves from words to action, based on industry, energy, collaboration, and new investments. We’ll also discuss how resources like Swedish wool can go from being a waste product to a strength and become part of the sustainable business of the future.
Now we want to create an opportunity for the people of Dalarna to come together. A place where different perspectives meet. A place where conversations can begin over lunch and perhaps continue long after Almedalen.
We are welcomed by representatives from the Dalarna County Administrative Board, including County Councilor Björn Forsgren, Peter Michelson of EcoDataCenter, and Mistral AI, with Dalarna Science Park hosting the event and providing lunch.
It will be both delicious and meaningful. A lunch for those of us who believe in Dalarna and want to help harness the potential that exists here.
