This policy explains how Dalarna Science Park and our website dalarnasciencepark.se collect and process your personal data, what choices and options you have and how you can exercise your rights.

This means that the Dalarna Science Park Foundation is responsible for the processing of personal data carried out when you visit and interact on the website.

Depending on what you do on the website, different personal data is collected. In addition to the personal data you provide to us, we also process your IP address, information about your IT equipment, personal data in connection with newsletter subscriptions and contact form submissions. We also process information about your visit through so-called cookies. A cookie is a small data file that a web server saves in your computer or mobile device. The personal data we process is used to ensure technical functionality, check security, compile statistics to understand our visitors and improve our website, better manage our marketing, or use the statistics as a basis for developing new features and services.  

Personal data in Dalarna Science Park's other activities

Dalarna Science Park's activities consist of several different projects and the activities regularly involve individual meetings with a large number of new contacts. The personal data collected through the activities must be approved by the person registered, with a written or oral consent. Dalarna Science Park's activities also include various forms of meetings, seminars and events in which people from other organizations and companies participate and in most cases register in advance. The registration form for our events contains information regarding consent for information about participating persons to be saved in the form of participant lists, information about dietary requirements and participants in photos and the like in connection with the event. Consent to appear in photos that are saved/disseminated is also requested when registering for events. Security of personal data Dalarna Science Park ensures a high level of security for the personal data processed by us and to this end has taken appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, modification, dissemination or destruction.

Legal basis

The processing of personal data for the purposes described above is based on the legal basis of legitimate interest and consent where necessary. The processing is necessary for our legitimate interest to be able to provide a secure and user-friendly website with content that is relevant to you as a visitor. 

Storage

Personal data are kept for as long as necessary for the purpose.

A large part of Dalarna Science Park's activities is based on networks and contacts at regional, national and international level. These networks and contacts are a prerequisite for the work of our organization and therefore certain registers are kept of collaborators, companies and contact persons. All registers are documented in a common register list for the organization. Dalarna Science Park receives public funding and, as a recipient, we are required to report certain information about our projects and the companies and people we support; this information is stored for ten years after the end of the project. Examples of information stored are name, social security number in the case of a sole proprietorship, address, e-mail address, telephone number and photos. Personal data is also processed for statistical and follow-up purposes to enable us to follow Dalarna Science Park's development and communicate it to external stakeholders. However, such data is only processed in aggregated form or in a form that cannot identify individuals.

Your personal data from dalarnasciencepark.se is stored on servers within the EU/EEA. To meet security requirements for incident management, IP logs are stored for 2 years. No data is distributed to third countries. 

Access to

Your personal data may be shared with all employees of the Dalarna Science Park Foundation, data processors with whom the Dalarna Science Park Foundation has an agreement on the processing of personal data, or other recipients when required by law, regulations or decisions by the authorities.

However, there may be legal obligations that prevent us from transferring parts of your data, directly or at all.

You also have the right to request a temporary restriction of the processing of your personal data.
