Green Dent identifies disposable plastic products in the healthcare sector and develops replacement solutions made from more environmentally friendly materials. Healthcare-related disposables cannot be recycled because they are classified as hazardous waste. Large quantities of plastics from healthcare and dental care must therefore be handled separately and incinerated or otherwise destroyed every year. In addition to regional and municipal actors, the market consists of private healthcare providers and is highly international.
