Dalarna Science Park is looking for an experienced leader with entrepreneurship in their blood who wants to take overall responsibility for our startup and incubator activities. This is a role for someone who sees the big picture and enjoys being close to people, business, and innovation.
As head of the startup business, you will become part of Dalarna Science Park's management team and be given a clear mission: to further develop, lead, and position our startup business so that more ideas become viable companies and so that Dalarna continues to be a place where the solutions of the future are actually built. Among other things, you will be responsible for our business incubator, which is an environment that helps start-ups grow faster and smarter through business support, networks, and resources.

Dalarna Science Park is Dalarna's innovation arena and supports companies in all industries with business development, sustainable growth and internationalization. About the roles
As Head of Startup Arena, you will lead several different programs to strategically, operationally, and culturally stimulate innovative new business ventures. You will be responsible for teams, programs, results, and development, and for ensuring that our startups and innovators receive the right support at the right stage.
This means that you will:
- Leads and develops the startup and incubator team with clear, trust-based leadership
- Sets the direction, goals, and structure for the business and ensures that it actually happens
- Coaches and challenges entrepreneurs in business development, scaling, and strategic choices
- Ensures quality in programs, processes, and selection
- Builds and maintains relationships with investors, academia, industry, and public sector actors
- Navigates and utilizes complex systems, regulations, and financing logic (regional, national, European)
- Actively contributes to Dalarna Science Park's management team and the organization's long-term development
In short, you lead both people and projects without losing your entrepreneurial drive.

You are probably:
- An experienced leader who has led and developed individuals and teams, built, driven, or scaled businesses, preferably in or close to startups.
- Truly entrepreneurial: curious, solution-oriented, and comfortable with the fact that uncertainty can be what drives the business forward
- Strategic and structured
- Confident in reading, understanding, and working long-term with complex regulations, programs, and financing systems
- A person with a welcoming view of humanity, you help people grow
- Accustomed to making decisions, prioritizing, and staying on track even when there is a lot going on at the same time
- Formal education is relevant but not decisive. Your experience, judgment, and leadership skills carry the most weight.
