New rules for packaging in the EU

June 9, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. - at 1:00 p.m. online

The EU’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) aims to reduce the amount of packaging waste, promote reuse, and ensure that all packaging is recyclable by 2030. The legislation is set to take effect on August 26, 2026, but what do you, as a business, need to consider and do?

During this digital lunch seminar, Marie Falk from Paper Province will provide an overview of the new regulation and how you can comply with it. The seminar is intended for producers, brand owners, manufacturers, importers, distributors, and other stakeholders who develop, use, or place packaging on the market.

You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the new requirements and see examples of how they can affect your business—from design and material selection to labeling, reuse, and recyclability.

Did you know, for example, that:

… all packaging must be designed to minimize weight and volume to the extent necessary?
… harmonized EU labeling for sorting and recycling will be introduced?
… certain transport packaging in B2B flows must be reusable starting in 2030?
… companies need to be able to demonstrate that their packaging meets the new requirements?

Take this opportunity to learn more about what PPWR entails and how you can start preparing today.
