Tech company Svepreg, which develops a new innovative method for brand measurement, continues its expansion journey through an investment from Tregion Startup Invest.
- "It is incredibly exciting that we have received this investment and a confirmation that what we are doing is going in the right direction," says Pontus Lindberg, founder and owner of Svepreg.
The investment company Tregion Startup Invest consists of some 20 investors and business angels who provide capital to startup companies affiliated with BizMaker, Dalarna Science Park and Movexum.
Tregion Startup Invest invests SEK 300,000 in Svepreg. The Ludvika-based tech company has developed a new, more accurate and user-friendly method for measuring timber, which makes it easier for actors in the forestry industry. The new method can save both time and money compared to current systems, while contributing to reduced emissions and environmental benefits.
The capital from Tregion Startup Invest will be used for the company's continued expansion.
- The investment allows us to accelerate development with a prototype on a logging truck so that the entire chain of components and data can be tested in a real environment. This means that we can get a finished product on the market faster," says Pontus.
Svepreg consists of Pontus Linberg, Andreas Robinson and Felix Järemo Lawin. During the fall, the company will also launch a new business setup for pilot testing but also work to expand the team and grow further.
Tregion Startup Invest was launched in January 2022 and has so far invested in 10 startups from Dalarna, Gävleborg and Västernorrland. In addition to financing, Tregion offers access to a network, exchange of expertise and matching with the right investors.
Svepreg is part of Dalarna Science Park's incubator program, which offers support with business development and valuable knowledge for entrepreneurs approaching the market with a new business idea.
- The Incubator has played a crucial role in our success. Without it, we would not have the knowledge, contacts and networks that have been central to our entrepreneurship. It has also given us insights into board work, what grants you can apply for and how to run a startup," says Pontus Lindberg.
