DalaCapital Invests in SYNNK, Which Simplifies Collaboration in the Music Industry

The Dalarna-based company SYNNK is raising 500,000 kronor in investment from DalaCapital. The funds will be used to launch the company’s digital platform, which makes it easier for musicians, producers, songwriters, and artists to connect with one another and form new collaborations.

SYNNK is developing a digital platform for the music industry that helps creators define their identity and establish relevant collaborations within the industry. By highlighting local networks, the company aims to create better opportunities for more collaborations and provide new music creators with an easier path into the industry.

Eventually, the platform will also be available to event organizers, venues, and other players in the music industry, but the first version is aimed at music creators.

“We want to make it easier for creators to find each other before they’re established. Today, it’s easy to get lost in the digital noise. Our platform, on the other hand, is based on matching people based on their roles and geographic proximity, which makes it easier to create both in-person and digital collaborations,” says Joakim Drake, founder of SYNNK.

The investment from DalaCapital will be used to finalize the launch this fall, build out the platform, and implement the company's expansion plan.

“This investment makes a big difference for us. It gives us the opportunity to launch the platform the right way and build a sustainable business right from the start, without having to give up a large stake in the company. That means a lot for our continued growth,” says Joakim Drake.

– SYNNK demonstrates how digital innovation can create new opportunities in an industry where collaboration is crucial. By combining a digital solution with a clear focus on local networks, the company has developed a solution that can make a real difference for music creators. “It’s exciting that a tech initiative like this is coming out of Dalarna, which has a strong musical tradition. The team has a clear vision and a business concept with the potential to grow,” says Angelica Ekholm, chair of DalaCapital and CEO of Dalarna Science Park.

Birgitta Sacrédeus, chair of the Dalarna Regional Development Committee, sees the initiative as an example of how innovation can strengthen both cultural life and the region’s development.

“Innovation isn’t just about industry and technology. It’s also about creating new opportunities in the cultural and creative sectors. SYNNK demonstrates how digital development can strengthen collaborations, give more creators the opportunity to grow, and at the same time contribute to an attractive and vibrant Dalarna,” says Birgitta Sacrédeus.
