DalaCapital invests in two innovative Dala companies

DalaCapital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dalarna Science Park, has decided on new investments in two promising companies. The additional investments are in the companies Livsaptit and Taksol, with the aim of strengthening their development and contributing to sustainable growth in Dalarna.

- "Being able to support these innovative companies with sustainable business ideas is exactly what DalaCapital is all about. We see great potential in their ideas, teams and their contribution to both the region and society at large," says Angelica Ekholm, CEO of Dalarna Science Park.

Well-prepared food for seniors - Livsaptit

Livsaptit, a company based in Smedjebacken, aims to offer Sweden's first meal subscription tailored to older people. With safe and classic flavors of well-prepared food delivered directly to the door, they simplify everyday life for their customers.

The investment will be used to finalize their digital platform and to test the concept through a meal pilot.

- "We are happy that DalaCapital sees the potential of our business idea. Their support will help us take the next step so that we can help even more elderly people to a tastier and safer everyday life, with a continued appetite for life, says Jamila Boccaccio, founder of Livsaptit.

Smart sheds with solar panels - Taksol

Taksol, a newly started company in Borlänge, manufactures and sells sheds equipped with integrated solar cell solutions. The SolFrigge product can be easily connected to the customer's existing electricity grid, providing a climate-smart and practical energy supplement. With the help of the funding, Taksol will create marketing materials to reach a wider customer base.

- "DalaCapital's investment gives us the opportunity to show more people how easy and effective it can be to invest in sustainable energy. We look forward to developing our offering further," says Mats Rudin, founder of Taksol.

An important step for Dalarna's growth

DalaCapital is financed by funds from Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna, Dalarnas Försäkringsbolag and Region Dalarna. By investing in innovative companies at an early stage, we want to strengthen Dalarna's business community and contribute to a sustainable future.

- It's great to see the creativity and innovation that exists in our region. Livsaptit and Taksol are two inspiring examples of how local entrepreneurs can create sustainable solutions that make a difference, both here at home and in a larger perspective. We are proud to be able to contribute to their journey," says Anders Hjertberg, Business Area Manager at LF Dalarnas.
