2025 has only just begun, but we can already feel the energy - this year is going to be something special! Innovation and entrepreneurship are key to a sustainable future, and we at Dalarna Science Park are grateful to play an important role in this development. By supporting companies, running development projects and creating a breeding ground for new ideas, we want to help Dalarna continue to grow as a dynamic growth region.
Winning the Brand of the Year award at the Star Awards this week is proof that our work is making a difference. It is a confirmation that our strategic investments in innovation, sustainability and our work on collaboration have reached out - and above all that it is creating real results. We are proud, humbled and grateful that our commitment to Dalarna is being recognized and celebrated. Above all, we want to say a big thank you to our employees, partners and all the innovative entrepreneurs who drive development forward every day. This award is as much yours as it is ours!
But we're not stopping here. We are now shifting up a gear! In 2025, we will take even bigger steps to consolidate Dalarna's position as a leading region for sustainable innovative development and entrepreneurship.
To strengthen our position in the green transition and thus generate benefits for Sweden AB, we will create more opportunities for Dalarna and our companies. An important step is the development we will drive in terms of digitization, with new offers to companies and organizations. Keep an eye out in newsletters, social media and on our website to stay updated on what you can take part in!
We continue to deepen our collaboration with Dalarna University to capture both researchers' and students' ideas. We know that the innovations of the future are born where knowledge and business meet. By creating stronger links between academia and business, we see great opportunities to strengthen both the supply of skills and the region's attractiveness for young talent.
Skills supply is a challenge and we therefore need to intensify our efforts to increase Dalarna's attractiveness and attract new talent to the region, which we are doing in a first step via a joint initiative In Dalarna, whichwe are doing with four of our major industries, Hitachi Energy, SSAB, Boliden and Stora Enso.
Industry is Dalarna's largest sector and it is therefore important that Dalarna Science Park continues to create the conditions for a sustainable and modern industry. Dalarna has momentum in this area, and we see great opportunities to now step up our efforts to take the position as a national engine for sustainable industry, especially in the work we do in our Circular Industry Accelerator.
Dalarna has everything it takes to become a national role model in innovation, sustainability and development - and we know we can deliver. We've already proved ourselves, and now it's time to step up a gear. 2025 will be the year when we together put Dalarna on the map as Sweden's next growth region.
