Reinfeldt and Adlén to Daladagen!
Soon it will once again be time for the annual Dala Day, a morning filled with excitement, dialog and discussion. And a perfect opportunity to meet old acquaintances and new partners.
Daladagen 2024 will be held at Galaxen in Borlänge, Thursday 24 October and is part of the program at Dalarna Innovation Days 2024.
- Anyone interested in current and future issues is welcome," says Kjell Grundström, Chairman of Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna.
Since the 1990s, Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna has organized the annual event Daladagen, with the aim of highlighting current issues in the economy and entrepreneurship.
The fact that Daladagen is now part of Dalarna Science Park's event Dalarna Innovation Days is a logical decision, says Kjell Grundström.
- Our organizations have many issues in common, perhaps above all that we act as neutral community developers. It is also good to gather forces in this way during an autumn week and that our participants can take the opportunity to visit several program points.
Angelica Ekholm, CEO of Dalarna Science Park, is also more than satisfied with the arrangement.
- We are grateful for the great collaboration we have with the Sparbanksstiftelsen all year round and especially happy that Daladagen is included in the Dalarna Innovation Days program. The content and goals of Daladagen are fully in line with what we want to achieve with the week as a whole.
Young voices
Participation in Dala Day is free and everyone is welcome, although the Foundation strives for a good mix of participants from business, public organizations and academia
- This usually leads to good discussions around the tables, says Kjell.
Daladagen 2024 has a special session highlighting what Dalarna's young people want and think, including through the presentation of KoKo, a multimedia activity that many school classes carry out in the fall. For example, pupils were asked questions about how they would like to live in the future, what they think of Dalarna and what professions appeal to them.
- "KoKo is a very exciting concept and the young people's answers will be a good starting point for our discussions. We have also invited some of the students who have completed KoKo, so it will be exciting to hear their thoughts, says Angelica Ekholm.
Highlights and retrospectives
One of the two speakers on Dala Day is former Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt. He will mainly talk about Sweden from an international perspective.
- Fredrik Reinfeldt is a recognized good rhetorician and can give us new perspectives and insights, so we look forward to that, says Kjell.
The other speaker for the day is trend spotter Göran Adlén, who has promised to offer new spies and look back on previous spies in relation to how it actually turned out.
- As a whole, this day is very much about how the world has changed and what issues will be important for the future," concludes Kjell, who is pleased that Ellinor Persson will once again be guiding participants through Dala Day.
- Ellinor is a very skilled and appreciated moderator, so we know she will do a great job again this year.
