Start-up SoKwikk is launching its combined payment and e-commerce service Kwikk. The service contributes to the digitization of Sweden and helps companies and associations to quickly charge for their products and services online - with or without a website.
Nine out of ten Swedes use the internet every day, but only three out of ten businesses use it as a sales channel.
- "In Sweden, there are over a million companies with fewer than 50 employees, and with the help of Kwikk, they can sell more using the website they already have and social media - without investing in new technology or hiring expensive consultants," says David Forsberg, CEO of the company.
Kwikk is a tool that allows anyone to start selling online in just 15 minutes, with no fixed fees. The service makes it possible to add buy buttons to any website, without rebuilding it. For businesses that don't already have a website, they can also sell goods, services and tickets directly on social media.
- Many businesses are good at being visible on Facebook and Instagram, but only as pure marketing. By using Kwikk, followers can order the goods on display, directly from a Facebook post or a story on Instagram. It's like being able to charge right in the shop window," David continues.
The Mora-based company participates in Dalarna Science Park's incubator program, where it receives coaching and business development support from Dalarna Science Park's business coaches.
- This service has great potential both in Sweden and internationally, so it is with great anticipation that it is now being launched widely on the market. It has been very fun and inspiring to follow the development of Sokwikks service and the team's drive. They have a desire to constantly develop both as individuals and entrepreneurs, as David's successful participation in The Apprentice clearly shows. I look forward to following their continued development and success in the market," says Victoria Ställberg, Head of Business Development at Dalarna Science Park.
The company won the regional SKAPA innovation award for the service already in 2019 and has previously been written about in Dagens Industri. David and his business idea are now featured in TV4's latest program The Apprentice, where 12 entrepreneurs compete for a million-dollar investment from billionaire and super entrepreneur Gunilla von Platen.
- We have met many small and medium-sized entrepreneurs over the years and we know that entrepreneurs are busy with their own business. That's why we want to lower the threshold to digitization for real, and allow anyone to get paid online with as short a start-up time as possible," concludes David.
