What is the actual state of innovation in Dalarna? According to responses from over 1,100 people in our latest Innovation Panel, there is strong confidence in the future and a clear desire to contribute to a sustainable and growing business sector.
The Innovation Panel 2025, conducted in collaboration with Novus on behalf of Dalarna Science Park, provides unique insight into how Dalarna residents and businesses view innovation, digitalization, circularity, and internationalization. Among other things, the report shows that:
- Nearly 80% see innovation as key to strong entrepreneurship
- 55% say that industry has the most to gain from increased digitization
- 88% are positive towards companies that use recycled materials
- 43% believe that Dalarna has strong international connections
The responses have been used as a basis for discussion in Dalarna Talks and contribute to shaping Dalarna Science Park's strategic initiatives.
"There is a strong desire to think innovatively and collaborate across borders, which gives us excellent conditions for continuing to develop the region," says Angelica Ekholm, CEO of Dalarna Science Park.
This year's report also highlights the growing interest in circular business models and shows that Dalarna has the potential to become a national role model, not least through our own Circular Industry Accelerator.
