The first round of Dalarna Innovation Days gathered close to a thousand participants and 1,500 bookings for 22 activities in three locations.
- What a turnout and what commitment! We are overwhelmed by the response and so happy about the great collaboration with everyone who contributed, says Angelica Ekholm, CEO of Dalarna Science Park.
Dalarna Innovation Days is an annual event that aims to promote innovation, entrepreneurship and increase knowledge about sustainability. The very first edition was held October 17-20 and included 22 events in Borlänge, Falun, Leksand and online.

Speakers included US-based innovator and business leader Christina Lampe Önnerud, futurist Tobias Degsell, AI expert Fredrik Löfgren, researchers from Dalarna University and journalist Maria Soxbo, who focuses on sustainability.
When Angelica Ekholm sums up the premiere, she notes that there is a lot of accumulated knowledge in Dalarna and a strong desire to increase the level of innovation.
- During these days, it also became clear that organizations and companies in Dalarna have a common basic view of, for example, trust, cooperation and courage. So now it's up to all of us to roll up our sleeves and work together to take Dalarna into the future.
Dalarna Innovation Days - a cross-border event
Dalarna Innovation Days is organized by Dalarna Science Park in close collaboration with Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna, Clas Ohlson Foundation, Business News Dalarna, Dalarna University, Borlänge Energi, Dala Energi, Dalakraft, Dalavind, Falu Energi och Vatten, Hedemora Energi, Malung-Sälen Elnät, Smedjebacken Energi and VB Energi.
Other companies/organizations that contributed to the 2023 edition are Codicent, Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, Smartsign, ByggDialog Dalarna, Women Building Sweden, CSI Nordic AB, IUC Dalarna AB, Climate Neutral Borlänge, Leksands Sparbank, Leksands Municipality, Leksands Folk High School, Företagarna Leksand, Företagarna Rättvik, Find my factory, CirEko, Styrelseakademien and Rolf Ericsson Bil.
Dalarna Innovation Days will be back again in fall 2024.
