ask:now is an on-demand digital advisory service where customers can search, book, work together and pay for a broad base of skills in both advice and service delivery.
The company ask:now receives support and advice in its business development through Dalarna Science Park.
The service easily connects advisors with target groups that have an "on-demand" need and require expert knowledge and support without unnecessary processing time or cost. You only pay for the time and advisor of your choice.
- ask:now provides immediate access to high-quality advice and services, and the customer only pays for the effective time needed on each occasion. With ask:now, even small businesses and small municipalities can get difficult issues resolved in a short time, at a low cost and by established experts. In addition, the cost is completely predetermined and so is the time of delivery," says Fredrik von Homeyer, CEO of ask:now.
"We want to make it easy and convenient for the customer"
Together with two co-founders, John Minkhe and David Hellström, Fredrik runs the company based in Idre. They saw a need for quick access to expertise and wanted to make this available digitally. In the autumn of 2021, the web service will be published. A service that is easy to use and will be available via computer or mobile for everyone; both private individuals, companies and public organizations.
For example, a smaller municipality or company may need to get in touch with an HR expert or business lawyer; through the ask:now platform, you search for a provider for the service, connect, implement and pay. Simple and easy, says Fredrik.
- The ask:now team aims to become the leading digital on-demand service, where customers can book experts for both advice and service delivery. The providers are professional and quality assured. Companies, the public sector and also private individuals who are customers, get their needs met "on-demand" - and only pay for the time used. ask:now handles the entire process from finding the right supplier, ordering, performing service / advice, payment to receipt.
Broad and solid experience and skills in the team
The ask:now team consists of Fredrik von Homeyer, former business lawyer and project manager from Stampen and Chalmers University of Technology, John Minkhe, senior project manager and entrepreneur, and David Hellström, civil engineer in industry, infrastructure and energy and chairman of the company.
Together they have a broad and long experience of companies, projects and activities but still sought support and advice through the incubator at Dalarna Science Park. Something they do not regret!
- It has been a stroke of luck to have access to contacts and concrete advice through the different competences and networks of the business developers. We have received support in economics and finance, management structure and access to partners and developers of the platform. Invaluable, says Fredrik von Homeyer. "We also have other services in the pipeline within the platform, including a simpler version of digital meetings without password requirements, etc. Here, too, we get the incubator's advice and support.
We want to think big and bigger for the company and have international plans - Norway, Denmark and Germany are first in line - and here we have good contacts ourselves but will take help from the incubator's coaches:
- ask:now's business idea could not be more timely. By constantly thinking about the scalability of the platform and digital accessibility, there are almost endless opportunities to help people with meetings, services, logistics, etc, says business coach Karin Burgaz. It is a pleasure to work with such a driven team where the three founders really utilize each other's differences and personalities. I look forward to supporting and following ask:now's success!
As an experienced businessman, Fredrik von Homeyer is happy to share advice and tips for successful business development.
Three tips for success:
- have a good team, make sure the chemistry is right and preferably with different skills
- take advice in business development through coaches
- fully commit to the business idea and the company and go for it 100%
