Daniel Holm, Vincent Castellano, Fatin Foxana Saleh and Anusha Gamlath are the winners of the 2024 edition of the Jagharenidé.nu innovation competition. All three have developed digital solutions that address very different challenges: customer feedback, dog adoption and waste sorting.

- It's really great to be able to present three ideas that solve important challenges and also have the potential to become competitive companies," says Jacob Ode, business coach at Dalarna Science Park and chairman of the competition jury.

Jagharenide.nu is organized by Dalarna Science Park in collaboration with Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna. The aim of the competition is to encourage entrepreneurship and innovative ideas.

- "We need more innovative entrepreneurs to develop business in our county. This is the second year we are conducting the competition in Dalarna and can really see that there are many good ideas waiting to be realized in the county, says Kjell Grundström, Sparbanksstiftelsen Dalarna.

Jagharenide.nu ran throughout April and resulted in some forty entries from twelve of Dalarna's fifteen municipalities.

Each idea submitted was assessed by the competition jury based on a number of criteria, such as the feasibility of the idea, its market potential and its alignment with the 2030 Agenda sustainability goals.

First prize 2024 goes to Daniel Holm and Vincent Castellano from Avesta, for their idea InsightCycle, a feedback platform that helps companies collect feedback from their customers. In addition to a grant of SEK 20,000, Daniel and Vincent will have the chance to further develop the idea in Dalarna Science Park's incubator for six months.

- Vincent and I believe in the idea, and market research shows that there is interest. We are happy to get time in Dalarna Science Park's incubator and a start-up grant that makes the idea possible," says Daniel Holm.

Felicia Dakkour, jury member from Dalarna Science Park, is looking forward to following the guys' further journey.

- The idea addresses a problem that many companies both in Dalarna and the rest of the world recognize - the need for deeper customer knowledge. Their concept is well thought out and the team has the relevant expertise to both develop and realize the idea. It will be exciting to follow Daniel and Vincent over the next six months.

The second prize, business development support for three months, goes to Fatin Foxana Saleh from Borlänge for her idea of a mobile app that facilitates animal adoption, with a focus on dogs.

Third prize goes to Anusha Gamlath and team from Borlänge who will receive one month of business development support for their idea Sortify, a mobile app designed to motivate and educate users about proper household waste sorting.

- Competition has been fierce. We have received many exciting ideas with potential, all of which have been offered individual coaching. It's inspiring to see so many innovative and thoughtful ideas that can make a positive impact on society," says Jacob.
