Promoting the circular economy and resource efficiency is a priority for a climate-smart Dalarna. In a circular economy, materials are reused and waste is treated as a resource.
In today's linear production, large values are lost due to inefficient resource use. By identifying residual streams and supporting innovation, renewal and entrepreneurship, new and sustainable processes, technologies and business models will be realized and accelerate the green transition.
The Industry Accelerator will contribute to the establishment and development of more innovative companies in Dalarna's Smart Specialization areas "Green and Circular Industry and Manufacturing" and "Innovative and Sustainable Bioeconomy" in our region.
Companies will be supported in their development and acceleration where industrial residual streams are used in a circular flow. Industry in Dalarna will serve as a test bed and attract innovative companies to the region. The project will also increase the degree of added value in industry and contribute to the global sustainability goals.
