Through our regular idea competitions and case challenges, we provide support to realize visions that can lead us to an even better Dalarna.

I have an idea

Jag har en idé (I have an idea) is an idea competition organized by Dalarna Science Park in collaboration with Sparbanksstiftelsen i Dalarna. The purpose of the competition is to promote entrepreneurship and innovative ideas in Dalarna. The 2026 edition will take place from April 1 to 30.

SKAPA Prize

The SKAPA Prize is Sweden's largest innovation prize, the purpose of which is to support inventors in developing their ideas. SKAPA is a foundation established in memory of Alfred Nobel in 1985 and since 2022, Dalarna Science Park has been responsible for the competition for Dalarna County.

Each year, a regional winner is chosen, with the Governor of Dalarna presenting the award and the regional winner having the opportunity to participate in the national competition, which takes place in November each year.

Dalarna Innovation Days Challenge

Dalarna Innovation Challenge is an annual idea competition in October, organized by Dalarna Science Park in collaboration with Dalarna University and Sparbanksstiftelsen i Dalarna. The aim is to find innovative ideas in Dalarna's areas of specialization. Each year the competition has a different theme.

Case challenge - Dalarna 24h Innovation Challenge

In the Dalarna 24h Innovation Challenge, students from Dalarna University have one day to develop solutions to a current and authentic challenge, presented by a company in Dalarna.
